About Me

Alison Williams

Counsellor

My name is Alison Williams. I am a fully qualified counsellor and member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I follow a Humanistic Existential approach in my counselling work which is uniquely tailored in practice to suit to individual needs of my clients. I cannot say that having counselling is easy, in my experience I have found it to be hard work! I can categorically say that it can be immensely beneficial in having a place to offload all the things that have been on your mind and for giving clarity on how you want your life to look. You can consider changes that you want to live an authentic full existence.

Feel free to get in touch to arrange a complimentary 30-minute introductory session where you can decide if you wish to start a counselling journey with me. I very much look forward to hearing from you.

What I Can Offer

I can offer you a safe place where you can be truly heard free from judgement. I believe in straight-talking and honesty always combined with empathy and warmth. I encourage my clients to speak freely in our sessions, we often don't get to speak without filtering our words carefully in everyday life, therefore it can be refreshing to just let it all out.

I have experience working with a wide range of clients presenting issues, including bereavement, anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, low self-esteem, abuse, sexual identity, sexual performance anxiety and self-harm. You may not have any of these issues although feel as if you could benefit from talking to a professional counsellor, everyone is welcome.
